It's good to see hugh Laurie in this I think he will make a great addition to the cast. Not quite sure that Keanu 'the log' Reeves is the best choice for the role. I'm sure this role would involve more acting skills than the ability to stand there looking confused. Still think the film will be well worth a watch. ... Read More

maybe ok..but...
cant see laurie without picturing him in a wig and make up in blackadder the third, no matter how good his american accent is these days. and as mcnulty, bunk, freemon and daniels would tell you, you take your gun out of your holster when youre sitting at your desk...and that still is lit terribly, btw, shadows are god awful... oh god, please dont let ellroy get screwed again... ... Read More

Despite the awful generic new title...
... I'm actually looking forward to this. It seems like Officer Jack Traven has aged very well, Bertie Wooster and Ghost Dog can do no wrong, IMO, and hopefully David Ayer didn't do too much damage to James Ellroy's original story. I'm crossing my fingers it's not Training Day II - as much as I adore Denzel W. ... Read More

RE: Uh?
Common is a popular hip hop artist from the urban American ghetto streets (specifically Chicago, or 'Chi-Town' as the locals would have it) who has recorded many of the finest 'conscious' rap records produced to date, on a par quality-wise with, say, early De La Soul or even the mighty A Tribe Called Quest at their peak. In the last three or four years he has tried his hand at acting, appearing in supporting roles in ace films such as American Gangster and the massively under-rated gem Smokin' ... Read More

RE: Or...
The ever reliable imdb actually says this is the plot: Tom Ludlow (Reeves) is a veteran LAPD cop who finds life difficult to navigate after the death of his wife. When evidence implicates him in the execution of a fellow officer, he is forced to go up against the cop culture he's been a part of his entire career, ultimately leading him to question the loyalties of everyone around him. So not exactly as Empire has written which makes it sound like an exact copy of The Fugitive. Generic... Read More

...a bit of both britesparc. I mean I just hope they get the balance right, with a cast like that it would take a prat of the highest order to fuck it up, but as Uwe Boll movies have shown us, a great cast does not make a great movie. Christ why isn't Uwe Boll dead yet? ... Read More
