First Look At Speed Racer's Racer X
There is a lot going on this morning. A first poster for The Dark Knight, a new Iron Man image, the first Prince Caspian trailer. And now we get the first look at Matthew Fox as Racer X in Speed Racer thanks to Entertainment Tonight. You can watch the clip below or here.

The American TV bastion of white teeth and never being knowingly underenthused scored a trip to the set of the Wachowski brothers movie about a boy (Emile Hirsch) who wants to be the greatest car racer ever and hung out with Fox, who plays the mysterious Racer X.

Fox's version of Racer X is a little different to the cartoon version. The white costume has been replaced by something a bit blacker, a bit more rubbery and a lot more pervy. Another thing we notice is that the film appears to have physical sets, despite Emile Hirsch telling us a few weeks back that the whole thing would be shot on green screen. We'll be honest, we feel a little betrayed and might just have a little cry to get all these feelings out. Oh, why, Emile? Why?!

I'm all for making cartoons into movies, but seriously, if you're going to do it, give it some grounding in reality. Flintstones proved you can't just copy the cartoon verbatim. After seeing just that short clip I feel this is gonna suck ... Read More
