Dark Knight Behind The Scenes Video The Today Show heads on set Source: The Today Show
Big ol', happy ol' Al Roker of America's The Today Show went on set of The Dark Knight recently and you can see the video care of Youtube either below or here.
This being The Today Show, a kind of US equivalent of This Morning with more handwaving and less Fern Britten, this is really beginners' stuff (Roker gives the impression of having no clue what happened in the first movie), but we do get interview snippets with Christian Bale, Christopher Nolan and Aaron Eckhart, plus a few clips of shooting, although we don't think there was any new finished footage there.
Heath Ledger doesn't show up. But you know where he does show up? The new issue of Empire. Which is on sale now. Wow, that was seamless.
orlyboo, In Bale's interview with Empire for the machinist he it was mentioned that he uses an American accent for interviews for Batman Begins/The Dark Knight was because he didn't poor ol' American folk confused by the fact an 'American' Hero was being played by an British actor. ... Read More
Seriously, I get all agitated and angry when dumb TV shows and newspapers bring up the 60s Batman TV series. What was the point of having the silly old TV theme playing in the background. The fourth film aside, surely most intelligent and culturally-aware people have realised by now that the show was a parody and not a sincere representation of the character. I truly believe that the slim, svelte look of Batman in this new movie can be contributed to the new suit. They redesigned it, replacing the standard cowl (which was bulky around the shoulders) with more of a biker helmet. I think it's an optical illusion that he looks "slimmer." Plus, Bale has always designed his body to meet the role.
I will agree with this though: Roker is a shit reporter. The fake interest in Batman was quite obvious. "Hmm, so you got this, homicidal guy ru... Read More
I cant believe Eckhardt said that Dent gets acid spilt n his face.Batman fans already know what happens to dent of course, but he should have left it up in the air as to whether it happens in this film or not.Christian bale is looking a little too thin, get that man down to mcdonalds straight away! ...
