Malcolm McDowell has joined the cast of Neil Marshall's action-thriller Doomsday. The film takes place 30 years after a deadly virus has wiped out an entire country, causing the rest of the world to wall it off – because viruses can't climb and don't have the hands needed to wield big hammers. But then the virus shows up in another country and dun-dun-dun-duuuuuh type stuff happens.
McDowell, who is currently being awesome in a guest role on brilliant TV show Heroes, will play Kane, the world's only expert on the lethal Reper virus, who advises the team attempting to stop the plague.
