Live Action Ghost In The Shell Planned
Anime classic going fleshy

Live Action Ghost In The Shell Planned
Large breasted Japanese actresses with tiny waists, call your agents, because a live-action version of Anime classic Ghost In The Shell could be on its way. But don't start booking your seats just yet; the rights are just currently being shopped around by Production I.G. Can you tell it's a slow news day?

For those not fully clued up on anime, Ghost in the Shell is a futuristic cyberpunk police thriller, which centres on Motoko Kusanagi, a cyborg law enforcer who specialises in tackling technology-related crimes. The series, which started as a manga comic has been adapted into two films and a television series and is considered a direct influence on the Matrix series. But don't blame it for the second two. They weren't its fault.

RE: Why?
I would love to see it if it was done properly - i.e. it remains a dark techno-thriller, but I'm not sure what Hollywood would do to it.   I'm not a big fan of G.I.T.S 2 (Gits! hought it was a bit pretentious ... Read More

Why?
Since there are already two perfectly good Ghost in the Shell films already out there, why bother? 'Innocence' is pure brilliance, it's up there with the granddaddy manga that is Akira... and neither of them need to be remade, because they're already perfect. All that live action would do is impose limits, and the majority of it would be CGI anyway- so one last time, WHAT IS THE POINT? On a final note, remember Fist of the North Star? Remember that movie? No, didn't think so. That's why you don'... Read More

Er..um...don't know
I love all the Ghost in the Shell stuff but I can't decide whether this is a good idea or not. Could be fantastic, could be sh*t. Just please, for the love of all that's good and right in the world, don't let Uwe Boll get anywhere near this! ... Read More
