Large Prospects For Little Britain
America beckons Lucas and Walliams
Source: BBC Entertainment

Large Prospects For Little Britain
Matt Lucas and David Wailliams look set to take comedy phenomenon Little Britain across the pond. Talking to Michael Parkinson the pair revealed that their warped assortment of characters may eventually make it to the big screen. “We’ve got a sort of film development deal out there” said Wailliams.

A deal with Simon – Pop Idol – Fuller has also been inked with the aim of creating a US version of Little Britain for the HBO cable network. Chants of ”I’m a lady!” will be rippling across the Atlantic before you can say “Yeah but no but yeah but no but”.

Little Britain....Umm
I liked the first episode...very original. But, the show became very repetitive and boring from then on out. BUT, I do believe that the two gents are very talented.... Branch out guys. Drop the catchphrases. Get away from the end-of-pier silliness. Then again, I am sure that they are laughing all the way to the bank. Could you lend me a fiver, Matt and David? ... Read More

why the hell are they planning a fucking movie????? The tv show lost its appeal after one series, so how is a film going to work? the only way a film could work is if they did it like the league of gentlemens appocalypse! And thats just not going towork with LB! Dont bother with a fourth season, just go to america and dont come back! You've had your 15 minutes now let decent comdies like extras continue (and while your at it bring back spaced!!!!!) ... Read More

let's be fair
this kind of show works ... as a one season deal.............that these two are funny shouldn't be in question (just watch their rock profiles with jamie theakston).............but ... like the fast show the show has been allowed to go on too long.............that said ... I'm sure they earn a nice crust off of it ... and I don't begrudge them the success.............I don't find it funny at all ... anymore at least ... but hell ... what if they manage to re-invent it for the states ... make th... Read More

Dear Lucas & Walliams.
Please see last nights Extras for a lesson in how to do very funny, subtle comedy that is well written and relies on character rather than fad catchphrases. Little Britian is shite and is no better than any sketch bollocks that this country has been churning out for god knows how long. ... Read More
