Game warden Madchen Amick is left for dead by fiendish poacher Adrian Pasdar, who is illegally selling bear livers for use in Chinese medicine. She has to cope with survivor guilt after her husband-to-be is murdered and deal with the savage urges for revenge.
Somewhere along the line she falls in with Graham Greene, a burned out, alcoholic cop who has attempted suicide because "I just got to enjoy shooting people too damn much".
A standard lady-in-peril thriller, with both mediocre direction and cinematography this never looks like a classy piece of Hollywood material, with a nice amount of scripted depth it almost pulls itself out of the doldrums but it's more than the okay cast and lame direction can handle.
