Supervised by director Robin Hardy, this version of the 1973 classic has lost a redundant, awkward prologue but brings back some of the quirkier, sexier, folkier elements that were trimmed from the original. It remains a superb mystery-horror-musical-folklore picture.

Still a classic, now enhanced by some judicious edits.
