Watermark Review

Image for Watermark

From China's Xiaolangdi Reservoir to the Colorado River in Mexico, this exploration of the planet's waterways spans the globe charting our relationship with humanity's most critical resource.

An account of the making of photographer Edward Burtynsky’s book, Water, this is a sumptuous, visually striking travelogue detailing the human-aquatic impact on the global landscape. However, it lacks context and a unifying thesis.

Beautiful to look at but lacking a strong point.
