★★★★★

Strapped-for-cash Sean (Dre) joins his flatmate, laidback lothario Dee-Loc (Snoop), working at their local car wash, but his promotion threatens to tear the two friends apart.

Adding to the tension is their cantankerous boss, Mr. Washington (Wallace), whose kidnap by third-rate hoods forces the employees to swallow their grudges. After their appearances in Training Day, the megastar rappers hit the big screen again in style, with a quirky, character-driven comedy that’s more Friday than Menace II Society.

All their trademark elements are in place — clouds of ‘chronic’ smoke, merciless self-promotion (Sean and Dee-Loc happen to be big fans of Snoop and Dre) and, of course, truckloads of bikini-clad booty. However, some energetic performances from the cast may make this accessible to a wider audience.
