The Wall Review

Image for The Wall

Vacationing in the Alps, a fortysomething woman (The Lives of Others' Martina Gedeck) awakes to find her cabin snowed in by an inexplicable, invisible and insurmountable wall. The future becomes a question of survival.

Putting a Kafka-esque spin on Robinson Crusoe, this adap of Marlen Haushofer’s novel is strikingly shot (by nine cinematographers) and intrepidly played by Martina Gedeck, as a fortysomething forced to survive after becoming inexplicably trapped in an Alpine wilderness.

Bold and beautiful, this is a mystery worth puzzling over.
