Original Title:

Wall, The

Putting a Kafka-esque spin on Robinson Crusoe, this adap of Marlen Haushofer’s novel is strikingly shot (by nine cinematographers) and intrepidly played by Martina Gedeck, as a fortysomething forced to survive after becoming inexplicably trapped in an Alpine wilderness.

Bold and beautiful, this is a mystery worth puzzling over.
