Switchblade Romance Review

Two young women, Alex and Marie, head off to spend the summer with Alex's family in a remote house. When tragedy and terror strike, Marie sets off in pursuit of some very bad people...

As relentlessly nasty as any '80s slasher, Alexandre Aja's horror goes some way to dispelling the adage that they don't make them like they used to, though a late twist lets it down. The nightmare scenario has a serial killer visiting an isolated French household: what proceeds will leave your heart in your mouth, if your stomach contents doesn't get there first.

This slasher is as good as a classic, and is only hindered by a late, unecessary twist.
