Original Title:

Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants 2

Those magical jeans are back in this winning sequel, flitting between four female friends over summer, during which they take their first steps into adulthood. So Amber Tamblyn’s wise-ass Tibby loses her virginity; America Ferrera’s Carmen finds love; Alexis Bledel’s Lena has boy trouble; and Blake Lively’s Bridget confronts her feelings about her mother’s death. It’s overlong and very soapy, but it’s well played and shares some DNA with, oddly enough, Superbad, in that it captures the wistfulness when teenage friends begin to realise their lives may take them in different directions.
