This Irish horror is part Deliverance, part The Gift, with a splash of Blair Witch too. Six young Americans travel to Ireland and head for the hills in search of magic mushrooms.

As Scream fans know, kids in scary movies shouldn’t do drugs, and after good girl Tara (Lindsey Haun) ingests a ‘death cap’ by mistake she suffers terrifying premonitions of her friends’ deaths. Tensions mount, the group ill-advisedly splits up, an abusive monk arrives, and local inbreds threaten to whip out the banjos at any moment.

There are a few effective jump scares and some creepy scenes, but the dodgy acting and an appalling ending marks this out as an interesting first try rather than an indie breakaway hit.
