Original Title:

Scouts Guide To The Zombie Apocalypse

Three boy scouts earn their Brain Bashing badges when an undead virus hits town. Pitched as a tongue-through-cheek homage to the under-dork teen movie, Christopher Landon’s rowdy zom-com combines raging hormones with rampaging gore — Superbad in Zombieland, and better than it sounds. It takes a while to warm up, but once the outbreak surges into merry splatstick, Landon lands some killer gags — in particular, a trampoline skit that boings into a bad-taste worthy of the Farrellys. The likable cast includes warrior-waitress Sarah Dumont and David Koechner as an unstoppable zombie ranger with a Dolly Parton fetish.

A likable horror-comedy with a satisfyingly high splatter count.
