Original Title:

Russia In Revolt

There's no more thrilling cinematic document of the different Russian Revolutions from 1905 to 1917 than the work of Sergei Eisenstein. 'Strike', 'The Battleship Potemkin' and 'October' have become staples of any film theory course, but they're more than a masterclass in montage they're stirring political pieces filled with massive set-pieces and contrasting the proud, heroic faces of the proles with the sneering faces of the old order.

The three films are restored and come in a box set with Bolshevik propaganda documentary The Fall Of The Romanov Dynasty (also available separately).

There is no better cinematic chronicle of the Russian revolutions. Thrilling and fascinating.
