Ron Howard adds yet another gem to his resolutely commercial CV, in which Steve Martin gets to show off his acting talents in between the inevitable bouts of larking about and making balloon animals.

Keanu Reeves offers a reminder of his pre-Speed teen dude persona, and a whole bunch of once-famous folk (including Mary Steenburgen and Rick Moranis) give performances which suggest that perhaps they still deserve to be at the top of their game.

A funny and touching look at the joys of family life and let down only by a coda in which a bunch of pregnancies come full circle in the most appallingly slushy fashion.

A funny and touching look at the joys of family life.
