One Good Cop Review

One good cop has to fight the bad guys and take care of his partner's three little girls after he is killed in the line of fire

Another box office stiff overseas gives us New York cop Michael Keaton, traumatised by the on-the-job death of his partner, and vowing first to bring up his partner's three cute little orphan girls, and then to track down and terminate the filthy drug dealer responsible for hooking up his chum's junkhead killer in the first place.

The plot seesaws between two over familiar genres, as Mr. Mom breaks all the rules to go after the druglord when he's on the job, and tries new-manfully, in a Three Little Ladies And A Cop kind of way, to look after the brats in his off hours.

At one point, the entire city of New York threatened to stop co-operating with the film industry: this suggests the overworked, overfilmed New York Police Department might have been behind that move.

Run of the mill revenge-thriller with three men and a little lady thrown in to be 'original'.
