With** Man Of Steel** arriving on Blu-Ray across the pond, Warner Bros. naturally wanted to drum up sales. Part of that effort was a live Yahoo event featuring DC fanatic Kevin Smith talking to Steel director Zack Snyder and co-star Amy Adams, which you can watch below. During the event, Snyder dropped a few careful hints about what we can expect from the sequel, which will see Henry Cavill’s Superman clash with Ben Affleck’s Batman.

"The fun of the idea is to be able to play with that relationship," Snyder says. "Whether they fight and become friends, or whether they're friends and they fight… Of course, some physical conflicts will be involved."

He also teased Lex Luthor’s inclusion in the film, saying, “Lex loves to call Superman an alien.”

Naturally, Snyder stopped shy of revealing too much, and most of the plot – beyond the meeting of the two superhero behemoths – remains under wraps. Casting rumours are leaking, however, including reports that actor Adam Driver is the top contender to play Dick Grayson, the former Robin, who is estranged from his crime-fighting partner and working under the alias Nightwing. Latino Review first broke word of the character’s inclusion, and the report has apparently been confirmed by The Wrap’s sources.

In related Supes-Bats news, Warner Bros. has also been looking for their female lead, with speculation that Wonder Woman could show up, at least briefly. The role, however, is currently listed as someone who could be a love interest for Affleck’s Bruce Wayne. Olga Kurylenko, Gal Gadot and Elodie Young are apparently the front-runners.

Snyder is set to start main unit production on the film early next year with a July 17, 2015 release date set.
