The Viceroy's House in New Delhi was a stately home for the colonial rulers in British India, and it forms a grand setting for Viceroy's House, a new historical drama from British director Gurinder Chadha (Bend it like Beckham). We've got our hands on an exclusive new poster – take a look below.

Taking centre stage on the poster are the film's leads: Hugh Bonneville, at his stiff-upper-lip best as Lord Mountbatten, the last British Viceroy to India; and Gillian Anderson, boasting an even stiffer upper lip as his wife, Lady Mountbatten. Together they oversaw the end of British colonial rule in India and the tumultuous partition which divided India and Pakistan.

Lily Travers, Michael Gambon, Simon Callow, Manish Dayal, Huma Qureshi, and the late great Om Puri also star. Viceroy's House will have its world premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival next month, ahead of a 3 March, 2017 release date.
