“No-one has ever shot a movie and live-broadcast it into cinemas at the same time. No-one’s ever been that stupid... until now.” These are the words of Woody Harrelson, the actor, writer – and now director, whose directorial debut is an audacious live experiment.

Lost In London

Lost In London is being filmed live, on location, with a single camera in the UK capital, in the early hours of Thursday morning, where it will be broadcast to US cinemas live (plus one British cinema, Picturehouse Central). Harrelson stars as himself, alongside two famous friends, Owen Wilson (seen here in our exclusive pics from the rehearsal process) and Willie Nelson.

The film is a semi-autobiographical comedy about one crazy night in London as he struggles to get home to his family. Run-ins with royalty and the law are promised.

Filming begins at 1.30am UK time – but Empire will be on set for an exclusive Facebook Live chat with the director himself from 7pm. Head to Empire’s Facebook page to watch the interview live.

If he fails, Harrelson has pledged to jump off Waterloo bridge. “That should pretty much finish off my career.”
