If you look closely you'll spot more than one appearance from a certain German automobile in **The Wolverine **and there was another on hand to transport old Wolvie to his public last night in London's West End for the movie's UK premiere. Before you could say "Vorsprung Durch Tech Snikt", Hugh Jackman, still buff from Logan's Japanese adventures, sprang forth and took to the red carpet to talk about the latest in the X-Man's outings.

As he and director James Mangold explained, this one is a return and a departure all at once: a return to the ronin lore of Chris Claremont and Frank Miller's Japanese run, and a tonal departure from the all-action tenor of previous X-movies. **The Wolverine **is a more contemplative affair, although the action, when it comes, doesn't lack for impact. Those claws, the pair stress, get a serious workout.

Co-stars Rila Fukushima (Yukio), Will Yun Lee (Kenuichio) and

Jean Grey herself, Famke Janssen, were also in attendance to share the limelight. Click below to watch the highlights.

The Wolverine is out on July 25. Watch the trailer hereand a breakdown of it, in staggering detail, right here.brightcove.createExperiences();
