Rachel Weisz the new Angelina Jolie?

Cineblend.com is reporting that Rachel Weisz is replacing Angelina Jolie in Sin City 2, due to scheduling difficulties. Jolie has been long rumoured to be in line to play Ava Lord, the comic's uber-hooker. Frankly, we're taking this with a big old truck load of salt as the films not likely to shoot anytime soon and though we love Rachel Weisz (and not just because her name so marvellously fits the tune of Edelweiss) we don't really see her as a ball-breaking hooker.

Hollywood loves foreigners (but only some)

The 61 films that originally qualified to enter the race for Best Foreign Language Oscar have been mercillesly slashed to a list of 9. The qualifiers are Days of Glory, Water, After The Wedding, Avenue Montaigne, The Lives of Others, Pan's Labyrinth, Black Book, Volver and Vitus. Which proves two things: it's been a good year for foreign films. And foreign film titles generally suck.

Worst film ever greenlit

Tara Reid is set to star in Honestly, an indie comedy being directed by her brother, which will also star American footballer Eddie George and Vinnie Jones. The star-studded premiere of this soon to be critically adored movie will take place at an ice rink in hell.
