Hmm, the attached picture may make him look like he's planning on taking Benicio Del Toro's role, but don't be fooled: Hugo Weaving may have joined the cast of The Wolfman, but he isn't going to go all fangy on us.

Weaving has, in fact, joined the film as Detective Aberline, who we're going to go ahead and guess is all about hunting down the human renegades in his computer system - sorry, that should read "wolf monster terrorising his turf". Benicio Del Toro is, of course, Mr Hirsute himself in the film, with Anthony Hopkins as his dad and Emily Blunt as his love interest.

Filming is (finally) due to start in London next month, from a script by Andrew Kevin Walker. So, good casting?
