With Disney already gearing up for robo-fighting tale** Real Steel**, boxing looks like it might become a new trend if Warners actually ends up making the new spec script **Grudge Match that the studio has bought from Tim Kelleher.

The story – which according to The Hollywood Reporter will blend the tone of Space Cowboys with the sweet science – sees a pair of retired pugilists who are tempted back into the ring for one last bout.

Billy “The Kid” McGuigan and Henry “Razor” Sharp are lifelong rivals, but haven’t actually slipped on the gloves to fight each other since their last title fight – 50 years ago.

Kelleher will write the script, but there’s no word on a director yet. Though Mark Steven Johnson is producing, so maybe he’s pondering the project as a future job.
