Planning comedy tale of CG critters

CG critters? Check. That talk? Check. With a heartwarming message about all getting along and not being selfish? Well, we're going to go ahead and check that one off the list as well, as fluffily moralistic company Walden Media announces that it is to make Housebroken.

The story follows a group of talking animals thrown together when their respective owners become a couple. Sharing a house proves difficult for the talking (CG) animals in what's planned as a live-action tale, but we're confident that everyone will learn something and emerge a better, er, pet for the experience. The result should be something like Over The Hedge meets Step Brothers / Yours, Mine & Ours.

The screenplay's by Made Of Honour's Adam Sztykiel, and the plan is to shoot it in a Charlotte's Web sort of way, with lots of comedy animals for kids and adult leads for their parents. And hey! It's gotta be better than Look Who's Talking Now, right?
