Vaughn And Wilson Reunite For Internship

This story first emerged back in February as something that looked likely but wasn't set in stone. It's now been officially announced, however, that erstwhile Wedding Crashers Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson will be reuniting for **The Internship, an office comedy to be directed by Shawn Levy.

Vaughn wrote the screenplay, which was originally in development at Universal but has now been nabbed by Fox. The story sees him and Wilson as former corporate hotshots who find themselves the victims of some unfortunate downsizing. Picking themselves up and dusting themselves off, they enrol as interns at a digital tech company, where their old-school savvy is pitted against careerist ladder-climbers half their age.

Vaughn and Fox have clearly developed a beautiful friendship through Neighborhood Watch, and that's also where Levy comes in: he's apparently facing some budgetary issues with his interesting sounding Max Landis Frankenstein project (that's a Frankenstein project written by Max Landis, not a project in which Max Landis is reanimated as a monster) so has leapt on The Internship to fill the gap in his schedule.

Shooting starts on June 25. A couple of months ago the project was called Interns. Now it's The Internship. We're now taking bets on whether it becomes Office Crashers by the time it's released.
