Twilight’s Alice Cullen, Ashley Greene, has joined the cast of coming-of-age drama Skateland. Final negotiations are being held to bring in Shiloh Fernandez (up next as Adrian Brody’s little bro in Cadillac Records) as the lead Ritchie Wheeler.

Set in the 1980s, the story revolves around roller rink attendant Ritchie, who loses his job and has to deal with tough reality of life in a small town and his parents’ divorce. Ritchie’s friends Brent and Kenny will be played by Heath Freeman and Taylor Handley (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning). James LeGros (Vantage Point/ Trust The Man) is set to play the father of Brent and Michelle (Greene).

Also starring is Haley Ramm, as Ritchie’s sister, best remembered for her turn as the young Jean Grey in X-Men: The Last Stand. The film will be based on Anthony Burns' screenplay, co-written with star Heath Freeman and his brother, executive producer for the project, Brandon.

The movie beings production this month in Louisiana.
