Entertainment Tonight has released less of a trailer; more a trailer for a trailer for Peter Jackson's The Lovely Bones, which makes this a rather surreal news story. But it is our first chance to see footage from the film, so trip on over to YouTube to see their trailer trailer{
Saoirse Ronan plays Susie Salmon, a young girl murdered by her neighbour (Stanley Tucci), who watches her killer and grieving family from heaven. Watch this footage closely and you'll see Mark Wahlberg as Susie's father, Rachel Weisz as her mother, Susan Sarandon as her grandmother and Rose McIver as her sister. Ignore the Entertainment Tonight plot synopsis on this footage, incidentally, as it's more than a little inaccurate.
It's all, of course, based on Alice Sebold's bestselling book, and the film's due out on January 29, 2010 here in the UK, and we should get a full trailer in the next two days or so.
