The contemporary Hollywood adage, "dust is a bust", cautions filmmakers that Westerns have become a dusty cinematic ghost town to be avoided as if it had the Clanton brothers, Liberty Valance and Mungo holed up with a job lot of TNT and a very short fuse. Flying refreshingly in the face of all that is Sweetwater (or Sweet Vengeance, depending on your geographic location and love of brevity), a pulpy Western that sees January Jones avenging her hubbie's death with guns. Big ones.

Those nice people at The Playlist have got hold of some new stills showing Jones' Sarah Ramirez in action, and a new trailer for the film. You can watch it below or click here for the full gallery.

Logan and Noah Miller's film is set in late 1800's New Mexico, a lawless land where young newlyweds are murdered by fanatical religious leaders played by Jason Isaacs. Unfortunately for Isaacs' Mormaniac, Ramirez is in no mood to take the death of her husband lying down. She sets out for justice - and, by the looks of it, gets plenty. Ed Harris pops up as the lawman trying, forlornly, to keep something of a lid on the carnage.

No word on a UK release date for **Sweetwater **as yet, but we'll let you know if and when one is announced.
