You would think that no-one would consider defying Liam Neeson - and certainly not after the events of Taken 2. But 20th Century Fox and Taken co-writer/producers Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen are considering doing just that in the quest for more films about Bryan Mills. In the wake of the sequel’s big box-office launch across the pond, Kamen now says that they want to start developing Taken 3.

Yes, even though Neeson himself cast doubt on the idea while talking to this very magazine’s podcast crew (you can find the full sound file below), it would appear that the lure of more money is too great for the studio.

"We didn't start talking about Taken 3 until we saw the numbers," Kamen tells Hollywood.com. "But then we said, 'Oh, okay. I think we should do a third one.' And Fox wants us to do a third one."

But thankfully, it appears all involved have realised that some new ground will need to be broken, lest we end up with dognapping antics in Taken 6: Ruff Justice. "We've taken everyone we can take — it's going to go in another direction. Should be interesting." And, hopefully, back to an R-rating...
