Superman In The Third Dimension
Returns hits 3D
Taking the next natural step in releasing its films in Imax, Warners is planning convert 20 minutes of Superman Returns to 3D.
The short chunk of the film – all that the current system is able to handle – is the studios’ latest argument for why we should chose to brave ringing mobiles, chattering clientele and rising costs in cinemas to seek out the “theatrical experience”. Bryan Singer seems convinced, telling Variety that the 3D footage will “look, sound and feel absolutely amazing" and that the experience will "envelope audiences in this story, enabling them to feel the emotion, drama and suspense in a completely new and unique way."
