A nasty hit-and-run thriller

Re-Animator director Stuart Gordon just can’t keep away from the dark subjects. If it’s not Lovecraftian nightmares, it’s a nasty little thriller about a woman who hits a homeless man with her car and decides to hide him away until he dies so she doesn’t have to deal with the legal worries.

Stuck is that thriller: the tale of Brandi Helper, a care assistant at a retirement home whose carefree, compassionate life is shaken up when she hits Tom Bardo with her car. The critically injured Tom is left stuck in the windscreen of her car, so Brandi naturally dashes straight to the hospital. Oh, wait… No. She drives home, stuffs the car in the garage and waits for Tom to die so that she doesn’t have to risk her job over the incident. Her boyfriend Rashid offers to help dispose of the body, but there’s just one problem in her plan – Tom is trying to escape.

According to Gordon, it’s actually based on a true story… He’s written the script with John Strysik and starts filming around Canada in two weeks.
