There are few London movie events to match a James Bond premiere, especially now that Harry Potter has gone to the giant horcrux in the sky, and Skyfall's didn't disappoint for scale and glamour. The Royal Albert Hall, bedecked in Eon regalia, hasn't seen this much pomp and circumstance since Elgar won Celebrity Prom Idol. Even 007 himself, Daniel Craig, looked a little dazed by the rapture levels in Kensington - and he's run up a crane and knocked over part of Venice.
Alongside Daniel Craig were Judi Dench, Ben Whishaw - confessing that he hadn't seen the film yet (here's Empire's review, Ben) - Ralph Fiennes, producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson. Even the choice of transport - Aston Martins and Goldfinger's Rolls - was Bond-inspired. Sure, it would have been nice if at least one cast member had arrived by Little Nellie, but then it is restricted airspace.
