British actor Roger Moore has been rushed to hospital after he collapsed during a Broadway production. The former Bond was appearing in the Kenneth Branagh-directed production of The Play What I Wrote when he keeled over. Audiences originally thought it part of the act but began to realise that things were more serious when fellow cast members mopped his brow and helped him back to his feet. Moore, who is 75-years-old, had become short of breath and lost consciousness briefly before declaring to co-star Hamish McColl, "I think I've fainted, old boy." Trouper that he is, Moore went on with the show and received cheers when he returned in lederhosen to complete the last ten minutes of his performance. Once the curtains had closed, however, Moore was taken to hospital, lederhosen and all. Moore is being treated for respiratory problems in a Manhattan hospital and is said to be doing well.
