Continuing the theme of old meets new and elderly British types seeking the sun, we have Sonny Kapoor (Dev Patel) looking to open a chain of Best Exotic Marigold Hotels across India. He gathers the funds for at least one, and the likes of stalwart resident Muriel (Maggie Smith) plus old pals Douglas (Bill Nighy), Evelyn (Judi Dench), Madge (Celia Imrie) and Jean (Penelope Wilton) are back to help celebrate.
New this time is Richard Gere, who causes much romantic consternation among the ladies... With John Madden back directing and Ol Parker once again on scripting duties, The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel will be with us on February 27.
