Kiddiwinks treated to slasher flick

Someone at Warner Village Cinemas in Birmingham is going to get their knuckles rapped after a bunch of kids were treated to a horror-fest instead of their chosen film, Piglet's Big Movie. The matinee performance from hell took its first wrong turn when instead of trailers for family-friendly fare like Pirates of The Caribbean and Rugrats Go Wild the ankle-biters were shown previews for Jeepers Creepers 2 and Freddy vs Jason. While a couple of parents popped out to alert the staff at Star City Warner Village in Birmingham, chaos reigned supreme as the feature film was revealed to be the 18-rated slasher film Wrong Turn. Described by Empire's reviewer as containing 'a surprising amount of gore', Wrong Turn is pretty difficult to mix up with the 'catchy and appealing' Disney film. Somewhere along the line you'd think that someone in the projection room would have noticed that instead of Piglet and Pooh playing in the Hundred Acre Wood you had teenage nymphets being picked off by inbred cannibals up on the big screen. Warner Village Cinemas explained that the horror film had been left in the projector from the night before. 'I'm afraid it was one of those days when 101 things were going wrong,' a spokesperson told The Guardian. 'We will have to put this down to human error and are obviously very sorry for any distress caused.'
