The folks over at EW have a first look at the brooding happy family at the heart of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 - even if the newest member is almost entirely hidden behind her parents. Yes, that extra pair of legs and half-glimpsed face is Mackenzie Foy as Renesmee, a child so special she didn't even have to start dating to get a portmanteau name.

Those unacquainted with the series' latest and most bizarre plot turns may be somewhat confused by the appearance of a child here. Have we skipped ahead several years between the first and second half of the franchise's final book? Is it possible we've missed a bit? Well, not really.

See, the last film had a still-human Bella (Stewart) getting pregnant by the vampire Edward (Pattinson) on their honeymoon, and experiencing an accelerated pregnancy over a couple of weeks, suffering cravings for blood and near-emaciation as her body failed to keep up with the needs of the demon child.

The birth nearly killed Bella, who was kept alive with massive infusions of vampire venom courtesy of Edward and his dad Carlisle (Peter Faccinelli), and she opened her transformed vampire eyes in the very final moments of the last film. This new movie sees the child, named Renesmee after both her grandmothers and played by Mackenzie Foy, still growing at a massively accelerated rate, hence her age here. Her existence causes conflict between the Cullens family and the all-powerful ruling vampires of the Volturi, so brace yourself for some face-offs in among the brooding this time.

The Twilight Saga - Breaking Dawn Part 2 hits cinemas on November 16 this year, and will of course also see the return of Taylor Lautner and all the rest for one more round of longing glances.
