Looks like Johnny Depp wants to pull one of his old Sweeney Todd castmates into Wonderland for the Alice sequel: Variety reports that Sacha Baron Cohen is in early talks to step **Through The Looking Glass.

Disney has been eagerly working up the sequel to its billion-dollar baby for more than a year now, hiring The Muppets (and Muppets Most Wanted) director James Bobin to call the shots and bringing Depp and Alice herself, Mia Wasikowska, back for more fantastical adventure.

Alice screenwriter Linda Woolverton has once more cranked out the script for this one, which will return to Wonderland and… Well, what will actually happen is still under wraps. But if he does sign on, Baron Cohen will play the villain, which seems like a solid use of his character skills.

Through The Looking Glass is currently set to open on May 27, 2016. Baron Cohen is looking to work on spy comedy Grimsby – which finds a suave black ops agent on the lam with his long-lost football hooligan brother – this summer before any move to Wonderland.
