Many comic book titles are called up to serve in Hollywood’s cine-army, but most never seem to make it out of basic development. Paramount and producers Michael De Luca and Matt Tolmach will be hoping for better things from the adaptation of Boom! Studios’ comic Insurrection.

The forces are made up of clones are treated as second-class citizens and denied many human rights. But then, Spartacus-style, one man decides to stand up to his masters and leads a revolution with wide-ranging repercussions.
Masters, who has TV credits including Brotherhood and running the short-lived Law & Order spin-off set in LA, is set to write the script for Insurrection. If it makes it to the screen, it’ll be his second produced screenplay after Mark Wahlberg / Denzel Washington action thriller** 2 Guns**, which is set to hit screens next year.
