We’ve already had one trailer for Crazy Heart director Scott Cooper’s new drama **Out Of The Furnace. Now here comes the second, which digs a little deeper into the world of Christian Bale’s troubled steel mill worker Russell Baze. Have a look over at Apple.

We meet Russell as a man with a rough life: working his dead-end blue collar job by day to provide for his girlfriend Lena (Zoe Saldana), and caring for his terminally ill father (Sam Sheppard) by night.

When his brother Rodney (Casey Affleck) returns home from serving time in Iraq, he gets lured into one of the most ruthless crime rings in the Northeast and mysteriously disappears. The police, including Forest Whitaker, fail to crack the case, so with nothing left to lose Russell takes matters into his own hands, putting his life on the line to seek justice for his brother against big thug Curtis DeGroat (Woody Harrelson).

The cast is certainly impressive and Cooper’s got a great sense of mood going on here. Hopefully Out Of The Furnace will live up to it when it arrives here on January 31.
