(Update: A poster blending the graphic style of the new character items and the actual characters has arrived and you can find it at the bottom of the page.)

Squad! Assemble! Present... Posters! While we doubt that the reprobates, criminals and killers that make up the DC Comics' line-up of villains coerced into helping stop bigger threats would ever agree to such military discipline, the cast playing the leads in Suicide Squad has obligingly debuted stylistic new character posters for the movie online, and are now, via Warner Bros. available in clearer form for us all to see.

Then there's ropes expert Slipknot (Adam Beach,) leader of the team Rick Flag (Joel Kinnaman) and violent flesh-eater Killer Croc (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje). Finally, to cap things off, we have the poster for Karen Fukuhara's Katana and the main initial pic that gathers them all together into one chaotic image.

With David Ayer directing, the film finds Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, who rounds up this bunch of unstable types from imprisonment and offers them reduced sentences in exchange for services rendered. Suffice to say keeping this bunch under control is no easy task... Suicide Squad will be troubling our cinemas on August 5. Read our exhaustive Suicide Squad guide here.
