AMC has released a trio of character images from the upcoming Preacher, based on DC's Vertigo title of the same name created by Garth Ennis. The series has been developed by longtime creative collaborators Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg.
Dominic Cooper is Jesse Custer, the minister of a small Texas town who is joined with an entity known as "Genesis," which gives him the power to control the will of others.
Ruth Negga portrays Tulip O'Hare, former lover of Custer's who happens to be handy with a gun. She's also someone that, in the comics, was killed and resurrected by God to deliver a message to him.
Joe Gilgun has been cast as Irish vampire Cassidy, who gradually becomes best friends with Cassidy, although he has secretly fallen in love with Tulip.
