New Poster For Jason Reitman's Labor Day

Jason Reitman's Labor Day, which makes its UK bow at next month's London Film Festival, has a new poster and it's filled to the brim with its three leads, Kate Winslet, Josh Brolin and 14 year-old Gattlin Griffith, all searching for that missing tagline.

In case you wondered why they're all looking so perturbed, it's not that one of the aliens from **Signs **is outside - although possibly that too - but the fact that Josh Brolin's character is a runaway convict who has thrown himself on the mercy of Kate Winslet's depressed single mum and her young son Henry (Griffith).

But is Brolin's character the caring soul he seems? He's a convicted murderer, after all, and it takes a big leap of faith by Adele (Winslet) to trust him enough to bring him into their lives. If you've seen The Night Of The Hunter, you'll know how this kind of thing can work out.

The film is Reitman’s own adaptation of Joyce Maynard’s 2009 novel, which focuses on Adele and her son. On a day out, the pair picks up Brolin's mysterious roamer, Frank. While in hiding with them, he teaches the boy some life lessons across a five-day Labor Day weekend.

Labor Day debuts at the LFF on October 14 before getting a UK-wide release in February 2014.
