If you saw our coverage of the film at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, you’ll know we were very impressed with “existential action movie” All Is Lost, which stars Robert Redford. Now here comes a featurette to explain what the film’s all about, with Redford, director J.C. Chandor and some of the crew and producers revealing their thoughts.

All Is Lost finds Redford as a sailor simply known in the film as Our Man. In the midst of a long, one-man sea trip in his yacht, he’s rudely awoken when the vessel crashes into a floating storage container. From there it’s a nightmare of storms and sinking worries as he struggles to survive.

With some beautiful cinematography and the bold choice to feature almost no dialogue, it’s definitely not your average drama. Redford and co are being talked about as Oscar nominees and there’ll be chance to see what all the chatter is about when All Is Lost arrives on December 26.
