As we get tantalisingly close to the release of Rian Johnson’s Looper, the viral marketing is in full swing. Yesterday, the film’s site ran a Twitter campaign to have followers unlock a new poster, which is now below for your gawping needs.
Looper follows Joe (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), a hired assassin paid well to vanish victims sent back in time to him by organized criminals.
It’s a good – if risky – job, but then the gangsters decide to close Joe’s loop by sending his future self back for our hero to kill. Yet Future Joe (Bruce Willis) is prepared, escapes, and soon the hunt is on. Question is, who’s hunting whom?
With Emily Blunt, Jeff Daniels, Paul Dano, Piper Perabo, Garret Dillahunt and Tracie Thoms also among the cast, Looper will finally hit our cinemas on September 28.
Oh, and if you head to the film’s site and check out the poster closely, you’ll find clues to the next stage of the campaign, as well as getting the chance to become part of the **Looper **network. Please note this does not mean you get to become an assassin to victims sent back in time. Unless there's something Rian's not telling us...
