New International Skyfall Trailer

Chances are you’ve seen at least one Skyfall trailer already, but as the release date creeps closer, there’s always room for some fresh snippets of footage, lurking in the new international promo above.

And at this point, you probably don’t need the plot basics explained, but just in case: Skyfall finds Daniel Craig’s Bond pitted against a particularly nasty villain Raoul Silva (Javier Bardem).

This new bad guy has a personal vendetta against MI6 and M (Judi Dench) in particular, and from the looks of the footage we’ve seen so far, the resources and determination to strike at the very heart of the Secret Service.

Naturally the majority of the story beats are still being kept in the bottom of a locked filing cabinet stuck in a disused lavatory with a sign on the door saying “Beware of the Leopard”, but we know we can expect action on trains, tubes, bikes and roofs, sultry Bond Girl action from Severine (Bérénice Marlohe) and Eve (Naomie Harris) and the first appearance of Q (played here by Ben Whishaw) in the Craig Bond’s world.

With Sam Mendes calling the shots, Ralph Fiennes, Helen McCrory, Albert Finney and Ola Rapace are all among the cast.

Skyfall makes landfall here on October 26. American audiences (and certain Empire LA-based writers, moan, whine, grumble) will have to wait until November 9.
