Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers, AKA Captain America, the red, white and blue hero, returns in The Winter Soldier next year. New concept art for the movie has come online, and you can check it out below.

The Winter Soldier of the title is the sidekick formerly known as Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), who we last saw plunging to his apparent doom off an icy mountain in Europe. But using typical superhero logic, comics writer Ed Brubaker plucked him from supposed death, had him cybernetically augmented, brainwashed and turned into an assassin.

Now he’s in modern-day Washington, causing trouble for his old mate Steve, who will need some help from Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) if he’s going to fight this battle. Not to mention aid from the likes of Falcon (Anthony Mackie, seen in the background of the pic flying about).

Captain America: The Winter Soldier recently wrapped shooting under the watchful eyes of directing team Anthony and Joe Russo. It also features Cobie Smulders, Samuel L. Jackson, Hayley Atwell, Emily VanCamp, Toby Jones, Frank Grillo and some young newcomer called Robert Redford. The film is out on April 4 next year.
