Ahead of the debut of new animated series Star Wars Rebels later this year, we have new art to unveil. These six limited edition cards are going out to promote the show, and the propaganda style and rather nifty colours suggest a pretty cool aesthetic.

The show, we're promised, tells "the never-before-seen story of new heroes that dare to stand up to the ever-growing might of the Galactic Empire in the days before the Rebel Alliance formed." For those of you struggling to keep up at the back, that places it squarely between Revenge Of The Sith and A New Hope in the **Star Wars ** canon.

Dave Filoni, Simon Kinberg, and Greg Weisman are the executive producers in charge of the whole thing, which gives us all kinds of expectations of what's to come. The show comes to us from Lucasfilm and Lucasfilm Animation, along with new overlords Disney - it will air in the US on Disney XD. The show hits screens this autumn, and will give us our first taste of the Star Wars / Disney collaborations to come.

If you want a physical version of this image, you're almost certainly out of luck right now: it's one of a limited edition of six cards going out to 2500 people around the world tomorrow.
