The man – no, the legend – is heading to these shores in a few short months for a new 24 miniseries and he’s going to be breaking things. Secure your valuables, find alternative routes to work and avoid obvious landmarks. For Pete’s sake, stay the hell away from red phone boxes, Beefeaters and Big Ben. Set four years after season eight, 24: Live Another Day finds Kiefer Sutherland’s runaway agent in London. Everyone thinks he’s a traitor (again) but when he gets wind of an assassination plot on the US President Heller’s (the great Bill Devane) life, Bauer is having none of that and is soon looking to kick the “ass” out of the assassins.
We’re not sure exactly what Jack’s been up to during those four fallow years (Military diorama building? Cobbling? Finger paints?) but Chloe O'Brian (Mary Lynn Rajskub) seems to have spent the intervening period on an emo retreat. Expect more than the usual angsty computer literacy from CTU’s resident IT genius as she gives Jack the backup he needs to get the job done.
